Team BACTERIA
OUR MISSION
Team BACTERIA's research seeks to improve upon the current transportation of heavy crude oil. Reducing the asphaltene aggregates within heavy crude oil can help it travel more efficiently and sustainably with less risk to the environment. We aim to test different combinations of enzymes that could possibly reduce the amount of asphaltene aggregates to prevent pipeline explosions caused by blockages.

OUR LAUNCHUMD CAMPAIGN
Beginning 9/28/2016 at 12 pm, our LaunchUMD Campaign will be open to the public! Through this platform, we hope to raise our goal of $5,500 to help fund our research project and provide our team with the materials and resources that we need to complete our experiments. Any contribution is greatly appreciated and will put us one step closer towards accomplishing our research that will be presented in the Gemstone Senior Thesis Conference of Spring 2018.
